Task: Go to Garema Place and find a person working in a shop who is happy to be photographed. You will be making three pictures.

Three settings
- Off = normal position
- Master = Controls multiple flashes
- Slave = when there is another master flash

Guide Number = 58 at ISO 100 flash head zoomed to 105mm focal length

Flash Head Zoom
This control allows the flash tube and reflector to move forwards and backwards in the mount allowing a narrower but higher intensity flash for a given subject distance when set at 105mm than when set at 24mm where for the same subject distance it will be broader but less intense.


Exercise:

1. Group Photo of 6 or more people.




2. Take a photo in a room and bounce the flash of the roof/wall/front on.

F16 Rule

Used at strong midday sun shoot at f16, ISO100, 1/125th will be the correct exposure.

D.O.F

Distance between nearest distance and furthest distance that is in focus is called the hyperfocal distance. 1 third in front, 2 thirds behind of focus point will be in focus.

Take subject away from background to blur the background.
